RiverWorks Food Shelf
The RiverWorks Food Shelf is a vital resource for the Rockford area community, providing essential support to families in need. In 2024, the Food Shelf served 1,750 family visits, supported 350 unique families, and distributed an incredible 193,500 pounds of food.
Lunch Box Express program: RiverWorks packs and delivers breakfasts, lunches, and snacks for students in the Rockford Area School District over the Summer break at no cost to them. Every week, they deliver a bag (or two) of groceries to ensure kids can easily make their meals. These bags include essentials like cereal, milk, bread, lunch meat, cheese, fruits, vegetables, and even a few treats for the week!
Countryside was a table sponsor for the annual steak fry fundraiser in October 2024.
